 Welcome,
My name is Elizabeth Pendleton, I volunteer at my local USO and on October 30th I will run 10K in the 36th Annual Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC as part of Team USO. Thank you for visiting my page and for your support. My run is a fund-raiser and 100% of your donation will go to the USO. I thank the musicians who played and helped with production, the USO staff for their support and songwriter John Gorka for waiving the copyright fees. There is a lot of love and support for those who serve and I am extremely proud to be part of Team USO and the Marine Corps Marathon. Below is information about the fantastic work the USO is doing for our troops. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your support of this wonderful and enduring organization.
With extended and multiple deployments, our military families need our support more than ever. Many of our service men and women are leaving behind spouses, teens, children, and parents. Others, serving in forward operating bases in war-torn Afghanistan, are looking for any comfort from home or way to unwind.
The USO has been supporting service members and their families wherever they are serving for over 70 years. Whether it's connecting deployed GIs to their families, providing a place to rest and relax during a moment off the front line, welcoming back returning service members with arms waving and applause thanking them for their sacrifices, the USO makes it happen.
That's why I have joined TEAM USO to support our brave men and women. But I can't do it alone. I need your help. Please join me in supporting the USO.
Your generous gift will be used efficiently, as nearly 90% of resources spent go directly to the USO programs to support those in uniform and their families.
